Stainless Steel 317L Bars are low-carbon, molybdenum-rich austenitic alloys that typically contain around 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum. This unique blend boosts their resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in chloride-rich settings. The alloy boasts impressive mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of roughly 205 MPa, along with high ductility and toughness, even at elevated temperatures. Thanks to their low carbon content, they minimize carbide precipitation during welding, enhancing intergranular corrosion resistance and ensuring top performance in harsh chemical and marine conditions.
